Position: Coordinator of Youth Ministry (Part-Time)
St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry (20 hours per week). This position works with the Director of Religious Education to lead and coordinate ministry for youth in grades 6–12, including high school religious education, Confirmation preparation, retreats, service opportunities, youth activities, and teen OCIA. The coordinator also recruits and supports volunteers, collaborates with parish staff, and encourages young people to grow in faith and become active participants in parish life. Position: Childcare Providers
St. Gregory the Great Day Care Center is seeking Childcare Providers to work with children 6 weeks through 3 years of age. Experience in early childcare setting is required. Education in early childhood development is helpful. The position requires physical activity, lifting, and outdoor play. Excellent organizational and communication skills needed. The ability to work as a team and multitask is a must along with kindness and compassion. Monday – Friday full-time and part-time positions are available. On September 19, we will culminate our study at "A Morning with Venerable Fulton J. Sheen" an event in celebration of Sheen's upcoming Beatification this fall. The event will include a light breakfast, a video on Sheen's life, and table discussions about The Life of Christ. |

A Message from Our Bishop Last year, I was blessed to see how the Diocese truly lived the Jubilee Year of Hope. I saw thousands of faithful clergy, religious, and laypeople come together at Catholic Fest in October, and shortly after, I had the joy of meeting our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, for the first time at the Vatican. This year, I pray that providing hope for others remains a steady conviction for us all. God is always faithful to us in delivering what we need, and his son, Jesus, declared that it is our calling to Share His Love with Others. Eucharistic Revival
Welcome to the National Eucharistic Revival
As you plan your week, why not include an hour with the Lord on Fridays.
Eucharistic Adoration is held each Friday following the 8:30 a.m. Mass until 4 p.m. in the Church or Chapel.
Additionally, all night Eucharistic Adoration takes place the first Thursday, of every month following Deacon Kevin's Holy Hour at 6:30 PM. Adoration will take place in the small chapel. After the church closes, entrance will take place through the Guadalupe Rose Garden. All are welcome.

Virtus Online
VIRTUS training is an awareness session which provides information and training to adults for the protection of children and vulnerable adults in the world around them. Safe environment training has been given to over 100,000 children, parents, employees, teachers, volunteers and clergy. Virtus training is required for all parish volunteers.
Note: ALL volunteers (18 years and older) who may come in contact with vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18 must attend a VIRTUS session, complete a background check, read and acknowledge the Diocesan Code of Ethical Conduct, Safe Environment Regulations, and Digital Communications and Media Policy. This is completed when you register for your VIRTUS training session at virtusonline.org
The Church thrives through the Stewardship of our parishioners in the giving of their time and the sharing of their talents in addition to their generous financial support of the parish. The requirement of this training and screening for volunteers is necessary in a parish this large to keep our youth and vulnerable adults safe. We appreciate your willingness to serve and to protect. Together, we will be Safe Stewards of all those God has entrusted to our care and ministry.

Trees of Life
We present our “Trees of Life”, the past, the present and the future. If you would like to remember a loved one, honor someone who has made a difference or simply give thanks, you can purchase a leaf for one of the trees that will be a part of our legacy. A beautiful bronze statue of St. Gregory the Great will be displayed on the front side of our Church facing Virginia Beach Boulevard. On each side of the statue there will be a “Tree of Life”. We have 300 leaves available. They are approximately 2” x 4”. Each leaf is $500.00 and will be engraved with either In Memory of, In Honor of, or In Thanksgiving for on one line. The second line will be the name of your choice up to 20 letters.
