Communal anointing Services in Advent and Lent. BAPTISM
"Preparation for Baptism of infants is a teachable moment, when the Parish Community can encourage parents to reexamine the meaning which faith has in their lives. In offering catechesis to parents and sponsors the Church shows its love for and eagerness to support them, as well as, their children." NCD
Because we are sensitive to the needs of parents we make Baptism a priority of our community. Pre-Baptism classes are held the last Tuesday of every month, while Baptism takes place every Sunday during the year. Arrangements should be made in advance of the classes by calling the office. 499-4494

Eucharist and Church are the basic realities, bearing the same names; Communion and Body of Christ. The Eucharist increases charity within the visible community.

Christian Initiation of Children of Catechetical Age is a movement within the Church to meet the needs of special circumstances that may present a child of catechetical age (over the age of 7) who has thus now had no Religious Education background and has not received the Sacrament of Baptism or may have been Baptized in another Faith. This movement is designed for children who have a desire for full initiation in the Roman Catholic community. ¯ ¯ ¯ For Church related questions, please contact us at (757) 497-8330 or via email at Office@StGregoryVaBeach.org.
