Mission Statement

We, the Parish of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, are an integral part of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.  We proclaim God's love and the Good News of Jesus Christ to all by embracing the Church's Sacred Scriptures and teachings.

We are committed to strengthening our Mission of Service by encouraging stewardship centered on ways to better serve our parish and community as set forth in the themes of Catholic Social Teachings.   We believe our faith is expressed by our diversity, inclusiveness and commitment to serve others.  We encourage all to join in our Community by participating in our worship and volunteering to share their time, God-given gifts, and talents.

CCD and Life Teen 2014

Welcome to the 2014-2015 Religious Education year.

Did you know that if your school age child is not attending a Catholic School, they should be registered in a Religious Education Program for their Catholic formation? In a recent study, 52% of all Catholic school age children are enrolled in parish based catechetical programs and 16% of Catholic elementary school age children are enrolled in Catholic schools. Perhaps 2% are being home schooled, and the percentage of Catholic young people of High School age who receive no systematic catechesis is generally much higher. Formation is just that, formation!
