Mission Statement

We, the Parish of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, are an integral part of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.  We proclaim God's love and the Good News of Jesus Christ to all by embracing the Church's Sacred Scriptures and teachings.

We are committed to strengthening our Mission of Service by encouraging stewardship centered on ways to better serve our parish and community as set forth in the themes of Catholic Social Teachings.   We believe our faith is expressed by our diversity, inclusiveness and commitment to serve others.  We encourage all to join in our Community by participating in our worship and volunteering to share their time, God-given gifts, and talents.

New Evangelization

ChristLife is Here...   The ChristLife 7-week program includes a full day retreat.  The inaugural group of St. Gregory ChristLife participants met on Saturday, May 16th in the Gordian/Martin/Roberts and Tobias rooms for the first such retreat here at our parish.  The day included much food, fellowship, an opportunity for Reconciliation, instruction on the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives, discussion, and prayer and worship.  It was a day filled with nourishment for body and soul.  Plans are in the works for another session of ChristLife: Discovering Christ.

More parishioners may then partake of the opportunity for spiritual renewal the program provides.   Participation will help make us all become more engaged in the New Evangelization.  Keep an eye out for further iNew_EvangelizationThe ChristLife 7-week program includes a full day retreat.
